Project managers' career paths

Working under the supervision of  directors-project management who define, guide and oversee project teams, the project managers implement all of the "production” cycle phases (from design to capitalisation).


They work with all of the financial, technical and managerial players involved in the projects on a daily basis, making use of the available resources and services.

The main tasks of project leaders are:

  • Preliminary project design and drafting proposals,
  • Managing the execution phase: implementing qualitative and quantitative objectives of projects and programmes in compliance with the given constraints,
  • Taking part in the capitalisation of knowledge,
  • Identifying opportunities.

 

Profile:

  • Masters degree or doctorate in political science, finance, international relations, international cooperation,
  • Sound grasp of cooperation mechanisms and Official Development Assistance,
  • Proficiency in project management fundamentals,
  • Ability to work in English (spoken and written), fluency in a second foreign language is a plus,
  • Writing and reporting skills,
  • Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet),
  • Organised and rigorous,
  • Diplomatic and adaptable,
  • Responsive, independent, team worker.
